The Art of Murrine/Murrine as Art. I will be co-teaching a 2 1/2 week class with Richard Ritter and Jan Williams at Penland this summer. We will be working with murrine at the furnace as well as at the torch and it should be exciting!

I am delighted to be presenting a paper/poster on my work with mosaic glass at the 16th International Congress of the Association Internationale pour l'Histoire du Verre (AIHV) to be held in London, Sept. 7-13, 2003.

The Glass Art Society's 33rd Annual Conference was held this year in Seattle and was a resounding success. There were almost 2200 people in attendance from 31 countries. Start making your plans now to attend the 34th Annual Conference to be held in New Orleans, June 10-14, 2004. We (the GAS Board of Directors) are planning great lectures, demonstrations, technical displays and, of course, in New Orleans, there will be fabulous parties!

Upcoming Penland Class
Dinah will be teaching a Spring Concentration Class at the Penland School of Crafts in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. This is going to be a very special class that will focus intensely on the murrine technique. Expectations will be high and only a limited number of students will be accepted into the class.

A Glass Fashion Show Odyssey
